Twitter has a new chief executive officer in Linda Yaccarino, who was formerly an executive at NBCUniversal.

It has been announced that Linda Yaccarino, formerly the Chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships at NBC Universal, would now serve as Twitter’s new Chief Executive Officer. This comes as Elon Musk, who formerly held the position of CEO of Twitter but has since moved on to focus on his other businesses, Tesla and SpaceX, respectively.

According to reports in the media, Linda Yaccarino will be taking over as the new CEO of Twitter as of today, since Elon Musk plans to focus more of his attention on Tesla and SpaceX. Musk will have more time on his hands to devote to Space X and Tesla, two of the other enterprises he owns and operates. Musk had previously indicated in a tweet that his “role will transition to being exec chair and CTO, overseeing product, software, and sysops.” Despite the fact that he won’t be Twitter’s CEO, the statement is still accurate.

Yaccarino, who previously worked at NBC, has also engaged her trusted advisor Joe Benarroch to construct Elon Musk’s ‘Twitter 2.0’. In a post he made on LinkedIn, Benarroch stated his excitement about the prospect of adding his abilities to Twitter and working with the company to develop Musk’s version of Twitter, Twitter 2.0. “I am excited to bring my experience to Twitter and to collaborate with the rest of the team to build Twitter 2.0 together,” she said. “I am looking forward to it.”

In another post, Yaccarino greeted her former coworker at NBC who had recently joined Twitter.

A statement made by Yaccarino the previous month indicated that she is prepared to collaborate with Musk and the millions of users of the network in order to restructure Twitter 2.0 and the firm. “Your commitment to building a better future has long been a source of motivation for me. She wrote in a tweet that she was “excited to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this business together.”

Yaccarino will take over the leadership of a social media platform that has been struggling to reverse a drop in ad revenue and is afflicted with issues, in addition to having a significant amount of outstanding debt. Since Musk acquired Twitter, advertisers have abandoned the platform out of fear that their advertisements may show next to content that is deemed unsuitable. This fear stems from the fact that the firm has lost roughly 80% of its personnel since Musk took over.
