Google Pixel 7 Series Prices Leaked: Here’s What You Might Have To Pay For The Phones

The Google Pixel 7 series is set to launch in a few weeks, and the company has announced that this year’s launch will probably include India. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro were hinted at during the Google I/O 2022 keynote earlier this year, and now, with the launch event scheduled for October 6 not too long away, we’re set to see the devices in person.

The Google Pixel 7 series prices, however, have leaked this week ahead of the launch, and it appears Google wants to take an aggressive approach to the market with its new Pixel flagships. According to the leaked information, the Pixel 7 will likely cost $599 (about Rs. 48,000), while the Pixel 7 Pro will probably cost around $899 (Rs. 72,000 approx)

Should Indian consumers, however, expect that the new Google Pixel 7 series will launch at these prices? We are afraid that won’t be possible. Another report claims that after discounts, the starting price for the Pixel 7 series will be Rs 52,000. Expect the base pricing of the Pixel 7 to be around Rs 55,000, while the Pixel 7 Pro version will cost significantly more, at Rs 75,000. But why such a large pricing disparity?

You may purchase the Google Pixel 6a in India for Rs 43,999 on a non-sale day because, as we have seen with the Pixel 6a and even the iPhone 14 series, the prices listed in India include all applicable duties and taxes. The starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro is Rs 1,29,900, which is over Rs 40,000 more than what you would pay for this device in the US.

In any case, it is encouraging to see that Google will launch the Pixel 7 series in India this year, displacing the Pixel 3 and 3 XL as the country’s first Pixel flagship phones.

With Google’s second-generation Tensor chip, the upcoming Pixel 7 should ship with Android 13 out of the box.
