The United Arab Emirates-based Elite Global Fresh Trading (EGFT) is a prominent producer and trader of sustainably farmed, high-quality farm fresh produce. Elite Global Fresh Trading is a division of Yas Holdings’ agriculture sector Elite Agro Holding (EAG). EAG is the first and largest blueberry producer in the country, as well as the first Emirati company to export to countries such as Japan, where high-quality certificates are rigorously required.

Beginning this month and lasting until the end of May, the ‘Elite Berry’ brand will be exported. The company plans to establish new export markets and extend the export season from January to May in 2024, aided by an increase in production at EAG’s regional farms that employ sustainable agricultural practises.

In the previous year, EGFT exported locally grown blueberries to Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong for the first time.

EGFT will export Mountain Blue Orchards (MBO) blueberry varieties. These blueberries are of the utmost quality, with enormous size, an extended shelf life, enhanced sweetness, and exceptional firmness and texture. To ensure maximum freshness, the farm employs a two-hand harvesting technique and ships its produce within twenty-four hours. To ensure that its high-quality products maintain their freshness for a longer period of time until they reach their final overseas customers, its packing facility employs stringent temperature control standards during the post-production phase. All exports will utilise air transport.

In its farms in the United Arab Emirates, EAG employs a variety of modern, sustainable, and eco-friendly agricultural techniques and methods to reduce the consumption of natural resources and maximise crop yield. These include fully automated processes from planting to harvesting, adaptive irrigation, integrated pest management, and harvest management.

The operation of more than 30 domestic and international farms has provided EAG with extensive experience in sustainable agriculture. In addition to other fresh products, the company cultivates and supplies the local market with a variety of high-quality fruits and vegetables, such as strawberries, potatoes, and various types of raspberries and blackberries.
